Little Em's

Well I decided that I needed to get a few things about our little Em's jotted down before I forget and she impresses us with newer things. Em's has been such a ham these last couple of weeks, it seems like I just can't stop talking about her and the funny things she is doing.

* Em's just LOVES to brush her teeth. She will wake up in the morning and want to get into the bathroom to brush her teeth, which then leads into playing in the sink. (her favorite... not mine!)

* Em's LOVES to take a bath... as that too, has to deal with water! She is getting more comfortable with the water and loves to play with her toys... especially her fish that swims in the water.
* Em's is getting good at reacting to feelings. We can fake cry and she will be at your aid, trying to plant huge kisses on you and asking you if "you otay?"
* She loves to chat on the phone. Just the other day Brock called my dad's phone and Eme picked up my phone and said "hey, what's up?" No joke, ask anyone that was there!
* She makes this disgusted noise with her mouth anytime she has something on her hand. The other day she was doing it in the car and we didn't turn around right away. It was a couple minutes later and I turned around to laugh at her cuz she was still doing it, and noticed she had a booger on her hoodie, and wanted us to get it off! lol... oh man.
* She was taking a bath and playing with her carebear. She would make her carebear fall off the faucet and then she would put it up to her chest and pat its back and say, "shh shh shh shh shh....otay?" Cutest thing ever
* I went to get her out of her crib last week, and she was on one side of her crib, and her jammies were on the other... she must have gotten hot.
* She is still in love with "shows". She always wants to watch them, and pulls on your finger until
you give up on put on a show. "wanna watch?" is her favorite phrase

* My dad must call Maile a lot when she is over there. One day he said "MAILE" and Eme aswered "WHAT?" hahaha... still to this day anytime I ask her to say Maile, she replies... WHAT!? She won't say his name.
* Eme LOVES to dance. We went to Stacy Flockhearts wedding this last weekend, and Eme was cutting a rug the rest of the night! Spinning an twirling are her favorites
*she is still a good eater. She will eat most anything, but has learned that if she doesn't want it, she says "No..." until you finally figure out what she wants. She loves grapes, raisins, fruit in general, noodles, and is getting to like more than she has before.
*"you want?"... has become part of her vocabulary. I am sure she got this one from me. Every time she comes and tugs on my finger to go get something, I always say... "what do you want?!" so now when she pulls my finger, she says..."you want?"
* she says... "daddy work?
* she is the biggest MONKEY! She will climb on anything to get to something else. She drags stools all over the house and you will find her on top of the tv, tables, counters, sinks, window
seals, etc. You name it, she will get there!

Well, I guess I will stop for now, but here are some pictures of our little ham! We just LOVE her to pieces!!

Baking

We spent the day at Tina's house making homemade cinnamon rolls and chicken pot pie! I didn't get a pic of the pot pie (which was to die for) but I did get one of the cinnamon rolls.
While we were making these....

Emeline was busy doing this!

(sorry about the sound, I tried to upload it twice and it won't fix itself)

Jones family update

Hmmm... where to start. Little Eme is getting to be that little Aries baby girl I always worried she would turn out to be. haha.. don't get me wrong, she is the love of my life and sometimes when she is being naughty, it is VERY hard not to laugh at her. BUT, I guess it is my fault for having her in April, and on top of that, naming her after my dear sweet grandmother Emeline. She lives that name to a T!! She is the sassiest, most defiant, independent little girl I have ever met. She is scared of the most random things, and LOVES the most scarriest things. She will not ride on the merry go round because she doesn't like fake horses, zebras, cartoon characters, santas, taget dogs, chick fil a cows, or anything of that sort. BUT, she will be the first to climb on your back on put her hands up in the air like a gymnist. Or, become best friends with a bull mastif that is 4 times the size of her! She lets her dad throw her all over the place, swing her above his head, make her do flips on the bed, you name it and she is having the time of her life! I just don't understand!

She is in her hitting stage and I could just break her little hand off! It makes me so crazy, I can hardly stand it. She loves to point her finger at you and tell you no. She loves to pretend you have hurt her feelings more than 100 times a day! She runs around and talks to everything she sees. She loves to say "what's that?" "NO!" "please" "uh huh" (that one's my favorite) and hundreds of other words and new ones every day. She is saying EVERYTHING you say, to the best of her ability, it makes me laugh. I know I should have cleaned up my mouth a LONG time ago! oops... She LOVES to be home and watch shows every chance she gets. We are still "playing" with the potty, but I have come to the realization that I will have 2 in diapers for a while. BOOOO! That's the update on little Em's.
Brady is enjoying his new job. I say new, but he has been working for the CAP Weatherization program for almost a year now. He is out in the community fixing homes and loving it. (other than the normal annoying things you will always deal with any job) He has been so busy working full time, and them coming home to find his wife having yet another small project for him to do. (mainly kitchen stuff) He is so willing to work at home when he gets home from work. He is such a good daddy to his daughter, and husband to his wife. We are so thankful to have him in our lives.
I of course am still working at the emergency food pantry and loving the easyness of the job. There isn't a lot of stress working where I am, and I am very comfortable there. I have put in for a new job, but just found out some politics about it and might stay put until after the baby comes in March. I am the second counselor in the Primary Presidency right now and that keeps me pretty busy, but I really enjoy this presidency. I work with some awesome ladies!
I am about 7 months pregnant now and doing pretty awesome. Other than the extra baggage which I let get me down at times, I couldn't have asked for a better pregnancy. I have only puked once and had about a month of not wanting to eat. Other than that, this little boy has just been baking in the oven quite well. I hope to have him in March and be as mellow as my other two brothers that were born in March. We'll just have to wait and see!

The last month....

has been so crazy busy! I seriously don't know where time goes. When I think about what we have been up to, all that comes to mind is Christmas shopping, family parties, remodeling our kitchen and working on the Sandy house. So, in a nutshell, that's what we have been up to!
Last weekend we drove up to Brigham City for the Jones family christmas party. It was DELICIOUS food, good company (minus santa, Eme still hates him!) and fun! Other than the drive home because it was snowing buckets the whole time we were up there, it was a pretty relaxing party. Thank you, Aunt Marlene and everyone else invovled in the planning. I vote Maddox again next year! :)
I missed the good shot of her when she was still sitting there with Brady freaking out
Santa brought Eme a new baby doll!
Our kitchen now has sufficient lighting!! Brady and dad were able to get all the can lights in this week. Now it's up to me to get some bar lights, and under the cupboard lights picked out so they can install them. Pics of that later to come when my dear friend Andrea makes it over to paint for us! (thanks Ang)
The Sandy house is getting a new bathroom upstairs! Brady and dad have kept busy with both houses, and hopefully we can get the bathroom under wraps by the beginning of the year. Thanks dad for all you do in keeping both of your daughters projets under construction. Thanks Brady for all your hard work for our family! LOVE YOU BOTH!
Shopping is my new favorite thing to do. Not necessarily to but things, but just to find a smokin deal. Whenever we have to shop for work, or with my mom and sister (the other one hates to shop) I love to go. There's just something about not paying full price for an item that I LOVE!

Baby BOY Jones

This morning we went to get our ultra sound done on the little gummiebear in my belly. I was having a really hard time going, knowing that we were going to find out what the baby was this time. For those of you that don't know, we didn't find out what Eme was before she was born. Anyway, we went in and the technician got us started. I forgot a little what it was like with Eme when we went in to do the ultra sound, and this time it seemed a whole lot different. She examined the body from head to toe getting her measurments and statistics and this little baby had his legs crossed the whole time! She had to get me off the bed twice to move around to get baby to move. Once to the bathroom... no luck, and then on a walk and to eat a cookie. THAT is when this baby said ok. She was trying to get a good picture of the heart and when we got back from our walk, she got it. Then, she got his little manhood and badabing!.. it's a BOY!

I had a feeling this whole time that's what we were having, but it was really quite cool to know what this little gummy was! Brady tried to talk me into not telling anyone, but I was too excited not to! I didn't even make it to work before I called my parents, and sent a text to the rest of my family!

So, for the record, I am kinda glad that Brady decided to find out. I will compare this time to last time, and see how it goes for the next one. Hopefully I will be better on updating the blog with this pregnancy. We are sooo excited to have one of each right off the bat! I will never have to hope that the next one is one sex or the other because we didn't have one. Thank you Heavenly Father for sending this little gummy to our house. We always try our best on raising these little blessings, but just don't send us too many!!

Happy HALLOWEEN

This year we had a pretty eventful Halloween. It started off the weekend before Halloween at my parents ward party. We put our little skunk in her costume and headed over. She LOVE it! She was runing all over the place with the little kids in the hallways. (not reverant I know, but she was having fun!) Then on Wednesday we went to my work Halloween party at the rec center, and it was a complete failure! She HATED it! There were too many masks she didn't care for, and about 500 more people than she wanted to see.

Halloween night we went to Brady's brothers house for cheese soup and trick or treating. Em's fell asleep on the way over and when we woke her up to go trick or treating... she wasn't having it. She didn't want to go up to the doors, carry her bag of candy, nothing! So we did it for her a couple of houses to see if she would get used to it, but no luck. After 5 houses and a full bladder, we were headed home to watch the UTE game.. GO UTES!

Thank you Tim and Britt for always being such great hosts. Eme had more fun at the house then she ever would have had trick or treating!

Boyz ll Men

This year we went to the Salt Lake County Fair in large favor for the Boyz II Men... now Men to Elders, maybe... concert. They did a mini concert there for the cost of admission! You had to go there around noon with your admission tickets to get the concert tickets. Anyway, so I drug Brady and little Em's along for the fun, and glad I did because they both enjoyed themselves! Here they are... the one's... the only's... BOYZ II MEN!
I LOVE Boyz II Men!! I am a total sucker for lovie dovie songs, and we all know they have plenty of them! LOVE IT! They also have a new CD coming out in November that I am for sure going to get. Here is just a little taste of what they will have on it. Don't watch the video, done so well by Bri, just listen to the song, it's so awesome!

Eme loved it so much she was jumping and singing right along with them

This little girl loves to sing. She sings with the radio, the t.v.. and non other then your favorite shows... Little Mermaid and Lilo and Stitch.

After the concert, we headed over to one of Little Ems' other favorite things...the BIG YELLOW SLIDE! We, of course had to take our turns taking her down the slide...a total of 3 times.. which she thoroughly enjoyed each one! Every time we made it to the top and had to wait our turn, she would try to get down and weasel her way to the front. Which by the way, if you haven't been to the top you have NO idea how scary it is! It sways so bad!!
