St. George Trip

My mom had a business trip in St. George, and we tagged along! I was a little nervous for the drive down with the kids, but they did FANTASTIC! I was so happy. We got there on Tuesday night around 9pm and got settled in and went to bed.
The next day we got up and had breakfast and then headed down to the pool. Eme was of course in HEAVEN! Her daddy has so much fun with her I am such a proud wife watching him with her. She LOVES her daddy and the way he plays with her. He throws her around like a rag doll and she loves every minute of it. Being in the pool, it was no different. She was going in circles, up and down, side to side, you name it, she did it!

Later that afternoon, Brady and my dad snuck away to get in a round of golf, and I took the kids to the room to lay them down for a nap. We went to Chilis for lunch and then back to the room. My mom got done with her meetings around 5 and we went to Walmart to find a swimming suit since I forgot to pack mine. Instead of a swimsuit (they were too expensive) we picked up some chicken and french bread for dinner. Ate dinner in the room, and took it easy for the rest of the night.

The next morning we woke up and went to breakfast, Brady and my dad got in ANOTHER round of golf (while I watched the kids again) and my mom went to meetings. My dad stayed in the room while Brady and I and the kids went and visited a cute friend of mine, Holly, that I hadn't seen since right after high school. She had twins about 5 months ago and I was dying to meet them, and see their mommy! Holly is soooo darling and her kids reflect their mommy. We got caught up on the last ten years, then it was off to dinner with the fam. We went to this yummy place called Anasazi where you basically cook your own meat on a lava rock. I had the garlic rice and carrots with mine. Later that night my parents took the kids, and Brady and I got in a nice stroll to have some "us" time.
(This is how Eme looked by the time we got home! She was awake from Cedar City to Salt Lake, and this is how she felt about it!!)
Friday morning my mom was in meetings till noon, and then we checked out and went home. I am so glad we came home on Friday because we still had the weekend to recover from "vacation". Why is "vacation" so much more work then just being home???
Thanks mom and dad for letting us tagg along to St. George, it was a nice get away!

2 going on 13

Eme, Eme, Eme.... she is such a little diva. I know her Aunties have a lot to do with it, but dang she is cute!

She has been both challanging and enjoyable in this stage of life. Some of her favorite things to do are: swim, sing and dance to her movies, watch pbs kids, color, go for rides, go on walks, go to the park, play with Caden and the puppy, and talk on the phone as long as no one is on the other end. She will say Tena, Ga, Papa, Bee, Conin, Wiyay, Karker, Paytey, Bice, Caynin, Puppy, daddy, mommy, hiiiii Dax! CONSTANTLY while we drive to where we're going. She just LOVES all her cousins!

Oh man, the list could go on and on. She loves to stretch and work out with dad, go on walks, and basically be OUTSIDE as much as possible!

She is still afraid to do things on her own. If we go to Chick-Fil-A, you have to be in the playland or she has a heart attack and if she sees a mascot, Santa Clause, Easter Bunny, or anything like that she has an absolute come apart. She is getting really good at pulling out her ponytails, and throws EVERYTHING on the ground. She has the attitude of a 13 year old, and a scream of a police siren! She is into EVERYTHING especially my kitchen drawers. She will take out my measuring cups, tupperware, utensils, plastic wrap, etc etc etc.

Some of her favorite foods are: Bananas, yogurt, cheese, steak, milk, cookies, crackers, fruit and cottage cheese, cereal, raisins, noodles and fruit snacks, but most of all, she LOVES to go to Red Mango and share with her Aunt Tina! She never eats mine, it's always Aunt Tina's. She is IN LOVE with Tina and Bee. We are so glad she is still eating most anything we give her! Hopefully she doesn't graduate that stage!

Her favorite movies are Toy Story, Princess and the Frog, Shrek 1, 2 &3, Pixar short films (really, I don't get it), Up, and any other Disney movie made! She is such a copy cat. She must learn like her mom who would sit around and watch things and the next thing you know... she is doing exactly what she saw you doing earlier that morning!

I never thought she would have a favorite shirt, but she does. The neighbors got her a monkey shirt for her birthday, and she LOVES it when I pick it out for her to wear. She has Diva glasses that she wears and looks absolutly adorable in. She still has the binki which I can't say I am excited about, but man it's a life saver when it's naptime, bedtime, or when she is hungry and I need to buy some time.
She is such a good big sister to brother Dax. If he is fussy in the car, she will reach over and hold his hand even if he doesn't want her to. She is always trying to pick him up if he is fussy, looking for him if he isn't in the same room as us, give him his binki, or feed him his bottle. And just the other day, I walked into the room and caught her reading him a book! I'm so pissed because I had a video of it, and somehow I can't find it!!! BOOOOOO! Anyway,
Little Ems is our little Angel and we couldn't be happier to have her in our family. We love you little Ems!

Dax's 2 month stats

Where to begin? Or little boy turned 2 months old on the 19th, and had his 2 month check up today. He is staying pretty steady inbetween the 25-50% even though I feel like he is getting SOOOO big! He is 11lbs. 10oz and 22 inches long! Wow... it really feels like yesterday we brought him home. He is such a good boy and I am so grateful he chose our house to come to. He is very alert, smiles at you, is starting to coo, and can roll from his stomach to his back. He is very well mannered as long as he can sleep in his crib. I have tried several times to get him to sleep at his grandmas while we are there, but he has a hard time sleepin other places. Hopefully we can get past that before I go back to work and he is at grandmas house all day!

We finally took the plunge and buzzed the poor boys hair. He really never had hair as it was, but I felt really sad when we were done doing it. I just love this little boy to pieces!!! There are times I find myself just staring at him, mostly while I am feeding him.

Dax never wanted to nurse after I gave him a bottle, so I have been pumping and bottle feeding him since we came home from the hospital. It has been overwhelming at times, but something I am willing to do to get him as healthy as I can at this point. Here are a few current pictures of our handsome boy!
