Baby Dax, you are 8 months old. I don't know where the time has gone! It always seems like it was just yesterday we sent you sister home with your Aunties, so we could go check in at the hospital. You have such a little personality and grunt all day long, just like a little boy. You are trying so hard to crawl, and get up on all fours and rock back and forth, but haven't mastered the crawl quite yet. You do roll all over the place and know that you have to kick around to go the other direction. You are mostly on formula at this point because mommy got tired of pumping, and you are close to bing on regular milk. You, like your sister, LOVE food and will eat at anytime. You eat your veggies as well as you eat your fruit, but like your mama, you LOVE bread!
On another note, you have figured out how to whine a little bit more. I like to think it's because you are cutting four new teeth to make a total of seven. However, papa and ga think you have become just a little more whiney as well. Good thing you are such a cute boy, we just take it! You are a little stinker when it's time to go to bed, but will eventually go down, even if mama has to let you cry it out for 15+ minutes. You LOVE your attention!!
We are so lucky to have you in our family to make us smile all the time. Love you baby Dax!
Miss Em's... miss Em's. These days you are totally cracking us up! Your vocabulary improves by the day, and has mommy worried. You pick up so much from everyday life, and have the greatest manners. You always say "please", "thank you", and "your welcome". If you are mad, then it's more like "GO 'WAY, please!" or "DON'T, please". But, always polite! However, you have learned the word, stupid! WHAT?! That's mommy AND daddy's fault, but we are working on that one....WHOOPS!
You love your baby brother still, but only when it's convenient to you, will you give him the time of day. And when you do, MAN, you make that little boys day!
You have the softest little heart and are worried whenever someone looks like they are sad. You run over to them and say "a hug, a hug" and give them a hug and kiss. Then you say "better now, it's o.k." Totally melts my heart EVERY time! Along with your soft heart, you get your feelings hurt VERY easily. Some times I can't help but laugh at how sad you get.
You are totally into play dough and tell me which colors you want to play with. You are getting really good at your colors.
The other day we were at grandma Ann's house and Parker brought his Darth Vader mask over. Well, your daddy being the funny guy he thinks he is, put the mask on and got up in your face while you were playing with Mr. Potato head. When you finally realized he was there and looked at him, you got the saddest little face and FREAKED OUT!! I mean, FREAKED OUT! you kept crying and crying and asking to go home. We had to actually leave, because you wouldn't calm down! YOU HATE MASKS!!! Doesn't matter how much face it does, or does not cover, you HATE THEM!! Priceless to get the reaction.
You are getting more confident in yourself and are jumping off of things and tearing up the house like a robber would, you are such a little explorer!
There is NEVER a dull moment around the house with you there. You make your mommy and daddy, very proud, to be your mommy and daddy. We love you baby girl!

Brady is amazing. He is working his full time job, and just recently picked up a small night time one for a little extra cash. I know it's not something he loves, because it takes him away from his family on the weekends. But, we are grateful he is willing to work, in order to take care of our family. He loves his family with everything in him and I am so grateful for that. He is so good with the kids, and is the one that gets them used to being scared, thrown, twisted, knocked over, you name it, he does it! Have I mentioned that he also helps with the laundry, dishes, dusts, vacuums, mops the floors?? Yup, he does and I am so happy to have the help. Ok, I have to admit that he does ALL our laundry, and I do the kids. I mean, I can wash the stuff, but when it comes to folding it... count me out! He is sooo good to us, I couldn't have asked for a better husband.
Mahina is doing the same old routine. Work, kids, some cleaning, some cooking, and thank goodness I can cross off the PUMPING!! Yup, I am down to MAYBE once a day, some times I can sneak 2 days in!! I can tell that Dax has chunkered right up with the formula, but I guess it's a good thing he's a boy! lol. I still work at the food bank, and will for the rest of my life, I swear. I love to come home and spend time with my family, but I also like to be on the go! It's in the genes, just ask my mom. I am waiting for my money train to come in so that I can work part time and stay home with the kids part time, but some thing tells me that might be a while!
I have the creative itch all the time and come up with all these ideas, but by the time I come up with some money, I have moved on with another idea.
(that also comes with the genes... just ask my mom)
All in all, the family is thriving, and I couldn't be happier with the family I have been given. The Lord truly knows what he's doing, even though I question it on occasion! :)
