Wow, if you could ever really realize what it is like to love your children before you had children, I think EVERYONE would have more than one!! I mean, I thought I loved kids before I had my own, but man was that an understatement!!
My heart melts every single time I see my kids. I LOVE THEM!! They are truly the best things that have ever happened to me. Every day I have to go to work and clients come in with their kids, my heart aches to be with mine. I smile, and smile and smile looking at these kids that aren't even mine and DIE to be back with mine. I LOVE MY KIDS!
Now don't go giving me mother of the year award quite yet. I can't say I'm the best mom. The most patient mom. The most understanding mom. The mom who spends every second she can with them when she has the opportunity. The mom who drops dinner, chores, shopping, showering, or anything like that each time they need my attention. I don't always read the right books, or watch the right shows, but I LOVE MY KIDS!

They play so well together, and Dax just loves his big sister, Eme! The second he catches the sight of Eme, he smiles and screams at her trying to get her attention. If Eme decides it's worth her time to stop and give her brother some attention, he is in heaven!
As we all know, Eme is so in love with herself she can't hardly spare any time to entertain her brother. However, when we ask her to talk to her brother because he is crying, she runs over there and says "boo!... boo!" "hi, buhyee" "gooh boy". You know, the things she hears her parents tell him!

Eme has that motherly instinct with Dax. She comforts him when he is crying. If he rolls over on his belly and gets stuck, she helps him to his back. If he is crying, she finds his binki and takes it over to him and puts it in his mouth. She pats him on the head and tells him "shhhh shhh shhh.. it's ok buhyee. You're fine." LOVE IT!
The other day I was cooking dinner, and Dax wanted his bottle. Well, it was his last feeding of the night, and so I wanted him to wait another 30 min before I gave it to him. I took it out of the fridge and put it on the counter to take the chill off of it, and turned back to the stove. Brady walked in and asked if he could feed Dax and I said not for another half hour. Dax was getting fussy rolling all over the floor and a few minutes later I noticed he wasn't fussing anymore. So, assuming he was into trouble or something I turned around and looked at him and he was chugging his bottle!! WHAT?! How did you get that? Immediately I ask Brady if he gave it to him (Brady gives in too easy. LOL) and he said he didn't. Well, as you can probably imagine, Miss Em's had walked to the counter and helped herself to Dax's bottle to get him to be quiet! Smart little girl, but I had to then take it away from him so we could stay on our schedule. Poor Dax, your mom is so mean!!

Eme LOVES to watch her shows. I almost feel like we are going to have to have an intervention soon! Really. She is in love with her shows, and being the lazy mother I can be, I let her watch them probably more than I should. (again, no mother of the year award) Dax is more of a busy body like his daddy and so to get him to sit still is almost impossible. BUT, if he is with his sister, he can watch her show and laugh at her the whole time. They LOVE to be together.
If Dax doesn't come with us on an errand, Eme has to ask a million times, "Dax? Dax?" then she wants to go home to get him. They are so great together at this age, I don't want to ruin the thought of how it's going to be in a couple of years!
I am a proud mommy of my two babies and love them with everything that I am. They are the ones that keep me going everyday and I am so grateful that they chose us as their parents. We couldn't have asked for a better pair of kiddos!
Love you Boogs and Buddy!!
