Halloween (eve) 2010

Halloween this year ended up on a Sunday, so most everyone celebrated it a night early on Saturday.
Well, as mother nature would have it, it rained! ALL NIGHT LONG! So what did we do about it you ask?? We took full advantage of it and stayed indoors all night long!!
Brady took us to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin to carve, and that's what we did instead of trick- or-treat.
Lazy, some might say. But, to me... PURE GENIUS!! If I can get away with it for one more year while my kiddos don't know any better... DO IT!

Brady did his freehand as usual. He has such a good eye and creative edge, I am so proud to say he's MY husband!

Last year you couldn't get Em's to touch the stinkin stuff. This year, well, you couldn't get her to stop eating it!!
The way I look at it.. it's squash! It won't kill you.

All in all it was an awesome Halloween just hanging out with the family.
Em's had an SUPER intense ear infection also. So really, I was just doing what was best for my kids. Chillin' inside!

Little Miss

Where to begin with this little girl?! She is such a firecracker when it comes to anything. She is either at one extreme or another. She can be the sweetest little girl, and then a second later, she can be a total distaster!! Remind you of anyone in my family??? hahaha....

As I was uploading pictures off my camera, I noticed that many on this post are in my bedroom... which means, she is watching one of her shows! Really? Do I let you watch that much T.V at home?

I guess I do! lol..

Little Line is ALWAYS finding ways to entertain herself. She rarely asks for you to entertainer, and I LOVE that about her! Even if she decides to climb up on the toilet seat and play in the sink in the bathroom. She LOVES to get up there and brush her teeth, fix her hair, and spray the water bottle all over the place. A huge mess at the time, but she is having so much fun!!

And when she is watching a show, she is still entertaining herself! Normally she likes to jump on our bed when she watches her shows, but sometimes she likes to climb in the dirty clothes hamper and watches from there!

She is so independent at times, I could SCREAM! She will push a bar stool anywhere in the kitchen to get to what she wants. We have many low cupboards in our kitchen, so I try to keep things in them that I am OK with her touching. This particular day, she walked over to the lazy susan, pulled out the cereal, and headed right back to her show! She is such a crack up!

She LOVES Sundays! She loves to put on her pretty dress and go to church to play with all her "friends"! She is such a lover of kids, that no matter where we are, if she sees a kid, she says "Hi, friend." Really, I just love this girl. They Nursery leaders say she is such a good friend to all the kids and shares so well with them. Um, really? She won't even let Dax touch her, or her things without saying, "MINE!" My this, or my that! Drives me BONKERS when she does that. Sometimes, she will even get a little kick, or swing at her brother. Little stinker!

Another thing I love that she does right now, is play in my makeup bag. She is SOOO funny when she puts on makeup. She is always asking for the mascara, but once you get it on her lashes, she gets all wigged out and starts rubbing them! lol... Not smart!

Well, this time Brady got in on the make up part, and gave her a mustache. The first time this happend, she walked over to the mirror and got so sad, she walked back to me with her head down trying so hard not to cry! She was so upset with the mustache, she wanted to cry but was trying so hard not to in front of everyone. Seriously, one of the best memories I have right now.

Now, she thinks it's great to have her face painted by her daddy. Of course, her daddy can do anything to her and she thinks its the best thing in the world!! lol... She hearts her daddy!!

The other night we were at Tina's house and if you know Eme, she gets really nervous about the silliest things. She doesn't mind it if Brady thorws her around, or yells in her face, but she won't jump off of things. She takes steps off of things, but never jumps.
Well, this night, she conqured her fears of jumpin.. and boy was she proud of herself!

7 MONTHS

My beautiful baby boy. Does it get any better than this?! I mean, seriously, he is such a GOOD BOY! I do have to clarify when I say that, that it's not necessarily the fact that Eme was a "worse" baby than Dax, but they have different temperaments for sure, and I had more ecperience with Dax.
For example, I had Dax sleeping through the night for atleast 4-6 hours by the time he was 6 weeks. IN HIS OWN BED, I have to say. I am still paying for the one I made with Eme. Partly because I don't want her waking Dax up when she gets up to whine, and partly because her daddy likes the snuggle time, but not the sleepless night. Catch 22... we just can't win.
I do have to say it might be different if we weren't gone all day at work, and that is one of the only times we have to spend together, is at night!
Dax is quite independent like his sister Eme was. He is just a good eater, he eats all his jar foods, and we even have to add rice cereal to everything to make him just a little bit more full.
His favorites now are table food. He loves bread, Nilla Wafers, potatoes, peas, noodles, and many more I just can't think of.
And, as you can see, he is a great bottle holder! I often feel guilty for letting him feed himself, but it just seems like I have a million other things to get done while he eats. I KNOW I will regret this when he gets bigger and doesn't need me. SAD!
If you want to see a boy get excited, eat somthing in front of him and don't offer him some!
He gets so stinkin excited and waves his arms and yells at you until you finally give in to make him stop begging like a little puppy!! Too funny! So, I decided to give you a little sneak peak into how it happens...
First, he will stare you down like a hawk.....
then as soon as he gets your attention, he opens real wide for the bite.....
and viola!! He gets just what he wants.
And you know what, it works like a charm every time!
Dax is starting to attempt the crawling stage. I really don't push this stage, because I know I really have to keep an eye on him. Lazy, I know, but man... I am tired!! sheesh
Give this mama a break!
Classic Dax look. I just heart him.
(really, this one is for you Auntie Tina)
Dax has been pretty good in the bumbo until this last couple of weeks. He has been such a stinker he twists and turns until he gets one of his legs up and slowly, but quickly head dives over the side.
Needless to say, I have no longer done this on the counter, unless I am right there the whole time. He is such a little wiggler!
Last but not least about this little man, he absolutly LOVES his sister! He just waits for her to walk past him in his attempt to get her attention by hollaring at her. If she decides to be nice and give him the time, she will stop and talk to him. If she doesn't want to, she will either walk by and do nothing. BUT, if he touches her of anthing she thinks is hers; he will get a "MINE!" and sometimes, a little kick, hit, or push.
While it makes me mad, I have to laugh sometimes because, seriously Eme, "Do you wanna get knocked out?!"
Here is a little video to show just how nice Eme can be, and how much Dax truley LOVES his sister Emeline!

BEAR

Grandma Ann had got Tim and Britt's kids a Build-a-Bear when they went to California. The boys loved them so much they had to carry them ALL OVER the place with them. And when they would bring them to Sunday dinners at Grandma Ann's house, Eme would always pick them up and play with them whenever she got a chance! Too cute! The boys however, didn't think it was too cute. They were (Payton) soooo stressed out whenever Eme would get her hands on them!!
So, Brady decided months ago we were going to get little miss one, but always failed to follow through.
We had to go to Fashion Place Mall a few nights ago to get me a replacement phone and decided we would walk Em's through just to see what she thought about the place.
I KNEW with everything in me she was NOT going to like the stuffing machines that put the fluff in your bear. And sure enough, she FREAKED out!! She HATED the stupid thing and started crying and clinging to anyone she could. (seriously was hilarious!)
After a few minutes she pulled herself together and kept pushing those voice box buttons. Her favorite was the Star Wars one, so we knew just what to do. We got NO voice box!! Rude, I know, but had we got one, it would have been even worse.
We did let her give bear a bath and put her clothes and make up on, and she was thrilled just to do that! Good thing her Auntie Tina shows her the makeup business.. her mom isn't so hot in that area.

Can you say success??! SHE LOVED IT! She wouldn't put the dang thing down!! Not even to go potty. She was soooo stinkin funny, we were laughing at her all night long.
And, it didn't stop there... she took the bear the bed and then to Papa's house in the morning. She just wouldn't put Bear down. Yes, Bear is her bears name. We asked her what she wanted to name her bear and she said "Bear!"
You got it, Bear it is!!

Thank you daddy for getting Eme her bear. She LOVES her!!

COOKIES

This little girl is SO SPOILED!! Her Aunties are so good to her, her mom looks like a piece of crap. Really though, they do everything with and for her!
The other night Bri came over to make cookies with this little girl. Eme just LOVES cookie time! I had intentions of taking them to work the next day, but soon lost motivation to do it, so it's a good thing Bri showed up to help Em.

Em has become quite the professional at sifting the flour. She puts the flour in the sifter and does her best to pull the handle, but when that doesn't work, she bangs the side! Hey, whatever you got to do to get it done!!

I'm sad her eyes are closed in this one, but she just smiles the whole time she baking. And who better to bake with then Auntie Bri who LOVES baking just as much

This, of course, is the best part of the baking process! Licking EVERYTHING off the beaters! I can't say I'm the biggest fan of sugar cookie cookie dough, but this girl can put it away! Her and Bri were arguing (their favorite past time) because Eme kept on putting her finger in all the cookies and messing up the pumpkins. Bri would yell "knock it off!" and Eme, well she would give it right back to her. They are only 3 days apart for their birthdays, so they have the exact same personality.... Scary!!

Thanks Bri, for picking up where I slack! Em's LOVES when you come to her house. It's no coincidence she is at the front door EVERY single time you get there.
All I have to say is..."Ems, who's here?"
And there she goes, to the front door. She KNOWS it has to be your, or Auntie Tina!

Witches Night

For those of you that don't know what witches night out is, it is a party for all sorts of witches (or whatever you choose to be for Halloween) to come together and shop, eat, and dance the night away!
Well, this year Bri and I were to lazy to participate in the costume department, but get in on the dancing and eating!! Let's just say that Eme is lucky to have her Aunties, because her mama is just not that awesome. I have said it once, and I will say it again... I am just too tired! lol...

These two guys showed up while we were standing in the snack line. If you know my daughter, you know exactly what she did....

She was dancing, eating, twisting and turning, and the second she spotted these two guys...
she went straight to this!

Eme hadn't eatin all night, and as soon as we got her some grub, she went from the above picture, to this! Dancing and chewing her food and twisting and turning like a little princess.

This is the only photo I got of her with her hat on. She is normally really good about wearing hats, but apparently witch hats are a little bit different??

My two cousins have never experienced witches night, so we dragged them along with us! Tianna and Julie went around on their own, and met up with us later that night when they were bored of the festivities.

here's a good shot of Tiannas costume. Good job Tianna!

This is a new witch and I had to get a picture of her. She had painted toe nails and everything!

brings a whole new meaning to "witchey poo!"

Here is a shot of some of the craziness that goes on there. Hey girl, "Nice Melons!"

and last but definatly not least, the photobooth! Suzzi has brought the photobooth the last couple of years and it has been a HIT!
(please excuse Em's face, but I don't know what happened! LOL)

Special Agent

Huy worked with us at CAP for a while, and just graduated to be a special agent. His mom owns a couple of restuarants around Salt Lake, and hosted a graduation party for him today at her down town restaurant. IT IS AMAZING! It had such an awesome atmosphere, I can't wait to go back there again.

They have these little houses you can eat at on the back patio. You have to take your shoes off before you enter, and you sit at tables that are sunk into the ground...
this is what the inside of one of the houses look like
and these are the tables you eat on
There is a pond if the corner with fish and fountain rocks in the middle that create such a relaxing ambiance.
This hut had the buffet table that hosted all the food.
Eme kept walking over to the fountain and sticking her lips on the rocks and sucking the water off. She would turn her head and tell Tina and I, "mmmmm... yummy!"
after all th picture taking I did, I forgot to get one of the graduate!! WHAT?! Sorry, Huy. But thanks for having an awesome party!
