Christmas 2008

(Can't really tell, but we had a WHITE Christmas this year! It was beautiful!!!)
We were so excited for Christmas this year since we had our little Em's to share it with. She was such a babe. She is getting so big so fast it's crazy! She slept in her own bed the whole night, and on Christmas morning we had the Jansson family over to watch her attempt the presents and have a yummy breakfast! Then we made the rounds to G &G Jansson's and G & G Jones' for some more loot!

NOTE: Please disregard the silly Merry Christmas sign hanging in the tree!

Em's waiting for the gang to get to her house.....

opening her gifts from Santa and Mom and Dad....

she did it!

We had a great year this year and look forward for next year when Eme understands Christmas a little more!

This picture is from the Jones family party....Santa was a little bit scary to some! lol

Randomness....

So I haven't blogged in almost a month and feel like I need a new post at the top of my page. I don't really have anything I feel is worth sharing so I found a picture of our little Em's off my phone. I just LOVE her little blue fuzzy hat. The only downfall is people always notice the hat and tell me how cute HE is. Then when the notice the pink clothes she is in and the piercings in her ears, they change it to SHE. I still let her sport the hat regardless of what people think she is!! This month has been kind of an interesting month. It seems that no matter how hard I try to relax, it just doesn't happen. I seems like there is always something to do and our poor little Em's ends up getting dragged around town at all hours of the night. Even when I work late, little Em's is still up too late, mostly waiting for her turn to nurse. She is so addicted to nursing I don't know whats going to happen when I have to cut her off when those top teeth of hers break all the way through! SCARY! She seriously throws a fit if she can't nurse the second she wants to nurse. Any advise on how not to fight with a kid when you want her off???? I am up for any advise! Brady has been busy working on little (little being used in the simplest use of terms) projects around the house. Why is it that when you think you are just going to change something small, it always changes to something BIG that costs 2 x's the amount of money you planned on? I don't understand. Anyway, he has been keeping busy on things like that, and I have been keeping busy doing things that never seem to be as visually appreciated as they are to do. (does that make sense) Well, other than that, we are just wrapping up the Christmas tasks and waiting for the new year to come. Hopefully next post will be a little more important! We hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

8 Months old!

I am always to late to post about Eme's "month-versaries", but this month I'm not!! Happy 8 months baby!!
Eme has been such a blessing in our lives. She is such a well mannered baby whom you will rarely find without a smile on her face...
However, the other week we were cheering for REAL and the UTES, and she was so upset about it. I could not figure out why she was so bothered by it. I kept thinking that she was in a stage in her life where she got the stranger danger/ mama's girl, and was having a hard time with it. I LOVE my baby girl, but I don't want her to be a mama's girl. lol. So everytime somone new would come around, she would cling to me and be all whiney. I thought it would be funny to show them how whiney she had become that week, and say, "WOOHOO! Go REAL!!" and poor little Eme would cry and cry. How funny, right! WRONG! That night night I noticed she was running a fever, but when I took her temperature, it was only like 98*. So that morning I called to Dr. and took her in for a checkup/shots. We go there and she would not let go of me. She was screaming like it was nobody's business and having a really hard time with it. We got her measured and weighed (14#) and then it was time for the temperature. She was NOT having it. Well she had a temperature of 102* and a double ear infection!! WOW, if that doesn't make you feel like a failure of a mom, I don't know what will. I mean, is it really necessary to cheer and cheer and make her cry because her mom thinks is crazy! NO! lol. Poor baby. I felt like crap and took the rest of the day and the next day off to be with her. I love that Eme loves to be with me (until she gets to nurse and then could care less where I go)
Anyway, she is such a big girl and learning new things all the time. She waves bye-bye, gives "uma's"-kisses, and loves to give high fives! Although she doesn't really care to roll over, crawl, or get mobile in anyway (thankful for that) she loves to stand and pull herself up on things. She gets on all fours and then gets mad cuz she doesn't know what the heck to do from there. Silly girl. I just want to say thank you Eme for chosing me to be your crazy mom. I love you so much and can't wait to see what this next month brings...

Em looking for her mom..................

So the other morning Mahina was out in the mess of shoppers and when I woke up I found Eme staring out the window looking for her mom wondering why she left her with her crazy dad.......
Not really I put Eme next to the window and she stood still long enough for me to take a picture with my phone, she is such a good girl not crawling yet but stands and holds on to things she is very strong. So strong in fact that me and her have arm wrestling matches and she has a tendency to win partly because she is so strong and I stop pushing after a while in fear that I would hurt her. We want to thank all who have helped with Eme because of her two full time working parents it has been a great blessing to have you near to take care of her, Thank you! (and remember her cute face when you are out shopping she has been asking for all sorts of things clothes, shoes, hair stuff, and she would most of all like to get an old ford bronco 66-77 if you would she was so precise on those years, wierd?)

Eme & Nevaeh

I just wanted to post a couple a cute pictures from California. Eme got to meet her cousin Nevaeh for the first time. Don't they look like they are gonna be great friends??

Little did Eme (white girl) know, that Nevaeh (FULL BLOODED TONGAN) doesn't just act a month older than her like she really is; but instead acts like she's a whole year older than her! Nevaeh stands up and tries to walk, crawls like she's been doing it for years, and wrestles poor little Eme like a Tongan Bully! Nevaeh just wanted to "play" with Eme, but Eme likes games like peek-a-boo, "beh", singing songs, etc....NOT RUGBY! Poor baby girl, check out that lip while Neva just "plays" with her! Love you baby Neva, we are glad to finally meet you !!!

A few firsts...

This last month brought a few firsts for our little girl, Emeline. She got to experience her first tooth....

Her first plane ride...

She got to visit another state, California...

her first funeral...

She got to eat WHATEVER got put in her hands....

she also experienced her first HALLOWEEN!!

I seriously can't believe how big my little girl is getting. She is such a fun, happy, healthy addition to our family. I don't know where we would be without our little, Eme!

Grandpa Walter Phillip...s Wolfgramm

Grandpa Wolfgramm left this world on October 20th, 2008; just 4 days shy of his 88th birthday. He will FOREVER be missed. Grandpa was such a great example to all of us. He showed selflessness, love, compassion, dedication, faith, devotion, and many many other things. He was such a worthy man of the gospel, and was NEVER afraid to share his testimony. As I sit down here t0 write a little somthing about grandpa, I am pulled in so many directions. I want to tell about his faith, his love, his selflessness, his devotion, his example and all the many things he did to display this. I want to tell about the diversity of people who sat at his viewing for the full 6 hours that Friday night to hear the stories of this wonderful man. I want to tell about the "gangbangers" who stopped by the house when they heard of his passing, because grandpa never judged. I want to tell about the worldly things he had that ment absolutly nothing to him and that he sacrafised in order to help out a friend in need. There are so many things I learned about my grandpa in that short 5 days we spent in his home town of Chula Vista I feel so blessed to have had him in my life. Even though we spent a short amount of time together because we were so far apart, he has touched my life more than he will ever know. We had such a beautiful time paying our last respects to our grandfather, it seemed like more of a party than a morning. That's how grandpa would want it. We all sat in the viewing wearing our white clothes instead of the traditional black, because grandpa said that's what he wanted. He was going to heaven, so we should all be there in white. And that's what we did. I seriously could go on and on about my grandpa, but for now I just want to say Thank you grandpa for your Christ like example, and showing me the more important things in life. We love you so much, and can't wait to meet again. Take care of all of us down here, and help our little lost sheep in the family. (me included) :) You will forever be in our hearts , We love you!!

Cousins

While Wes and his family were here to visit a couple weeks back, Eme was able to spend some quality time with her cousin, Bethany. (thank you Laura for all the pics! If you look at my sister in laws blog, these won't be anything new) They got to:

...take a bath together...

...watch Winnie the Pooh and chill on the couch...

and plenty of other things that neither one of them will remember! lol Eme is so intrigued by Bethany it's funny. I am so glad they are so close in age and hope they will be living close enough together to be close cousins. Can't wait to have you back out!!

Pretty Ears

I decided to pierce my little Eme's ears a couple of Saturdays ago. I have always wanted to do it since the day we had Eme, and finally did it when her cousin Bethany came to town a couple of weeks ago. We went to Claire's (which I was SUPER hesitant about, but the other piercing places only had one worker on duty, and I wanted them to do both ears at the same time) We tried Bethany's first, but she knew what was going on, and wasn't to thrilled by it at first. So, we decided to do Eme's. We got her ears marked while she was sleeping in her stroller, and then took her out and we sat in the chair. WHAT A TROOPER! She did scream for the initial "stabbing", but for only about 15 seconds!! I was so glad. She has no idea they are in her ears, and have healed BEAUTIFULY! Thanks Laura, for having such a fun cousin activity!

G.N.O

September 05, 2008 we had a girls night out at our new house. My aunts from my moms side of the family came over with their girls. It was so much fun!! We had a little BBQ (compliments of Evan and Brady who were also part of the girls night out) and then had a fire pit in the back yard and did s'mores. The little girls spent most of their time running around our yard and using their LARGE imaginations, and us adults sat around and told stories of the past and laughed our butts off! To all of those that missed it, we hope to see you next time!

Hula Baby

A couple of weeks ago, our dear friend/sister Suzzie did a photo shoot for my mom. My mom has been working on this production for a couple of years now, and needed to send some pictures into city. She had me, my brothers, and some kids from the neighborhood dress up in costumes from all over the world. We put sweet baby girl in a cute little make shift hula outfit!

WIGGERS.....

Funniest thing ever!!!

The other day, Charlene sent a forward email to Tina. Her reasoning for sending it was to see if the girl in the picure was her sister. Upon opening up the funny forward, Tina told Charlene yes, it was her sister. So, Tina sent me the forward and asked if it was me! I looked at the email, and was confused myself!!! How do you not know if that is you in the picture or not??? It was the weirdest thing ever. Her make up is the same, her hair is the same, her FINGERS are the same, and the sad thing is... I would totally throw up the peace sign in a freaking picture!!!! CRAZY! Now, those that know me now, might not agree that I once looked like that...but I did!!! I just can't place any of the people in the picture, or where it was taken. I don't even recognize the close that chick is in. I know I had my "wild" days but I would totally remember somthing like that! So, in conclusion, I do believe that each one of us has a twin in this world. Wether you meet them our not, they exist....I mean, just look below!

......so appropriate that I would be in a "Wiggers" email don't 'chya think!

Emeline's Photo shoot

EMELINE JONES

~ENJOY~

About a month ago, I get Eme's pictures done. I have been such a blog Slacker lately, I am just getting around to posting them for our fellow bloggers.

Eme just LOVES to stand. She is getting so big, I can hardly stand it! I just want her to be my little girl forever, but at the same time I LOVE seeing all the new things she is starting to do....

Eme has rolled over one time, and since that time she doesn't really try anymore. She talks ALL the time and loves to scream!

One of Eme's favorite things to do is smile. I think she would smile all day if she didn't get hungry or tired...those are the times you get to see sad Eme. Sad Eme, however, is almost as cute as happy Eme!

Sweet Eme has her daddy wrapped around her little fingers. She can make one little squak, and daddy comes to her beck n call! She never cries for long before daddy can't take it anymore. It's a good thing mommy takes her to her Dr. appointments, daddy would NEVER make it!

We LOVE our baby girl more than we thought imaginable. She is such a blessing in our lives. I always hated to hear people say that they wouldn't know where they would be without their children, and now I understand. She makes us feel every emotion, and we are grateful for that. The happy times, the frustrated times, the joyous times, the exhausted times. It is all worth every minute. Having her choose our family to come to, has been the greatest blessing of our lives. We LOVE you baby girl!!!

Bear Lake

We were able to go to Grandpa Carvers property in Ovid, Idaho. It is just about 30 minutes from the north side of Bear Lake. We followed Ann and Kent on the way up, an stopped in Evanston, Wyoming to meet Andi and the kids. Her poor husband was at Alta View hospital having surgery. We arrived there on Friday night, and set up camp. We enjoyed a little time around the fire, and then we headed to the "cabin" to get some Z's. We were one of the luckier people that got to sleep in a sheltered cabin, because we had a new baby. Baby Eme did such an awesome job and slept all night!!
The following morning, we got up, had some sweet hot chocolate that Grandpa C made, and then it was time for a little gun fun. Grandpa C brought up his gun and some clay pigeons, and we all had a turn to take a shot at it. Eric took the medal for hitting the most pigeons. I however, missed the two I shot at because I stink at aiming!!
After gun shooting, we headed out to enjoy some time at North Beach. We LOVED it there. The kids got in all the swimming time they needed, and the big boys played frisbee and football in the lake. All in all it was an awesome time, and I look forward to doing it again soon!

3 Month Pictures

Even though they should have been up a few weeks ago, I finally got Eme's 3 month pictures taken last night. She is so stinkin cute. I tried to get them done at Target a couple of weeks ago, but she was being a little stinker and would just cry and cry. I think she did that because she wanted me to see the post on Raegie's blog about Ashlee. I am SO glad she was a cry face at Target. Ashlee did an awesome job and I will for sure use her more than once! Check out the little preview at www.ashleebrookephotography.blogspot.com I am too excited about the way they turned out, I can't wait to do this post until I get the pictures! Enjoy!!

Snowbird July 2008

She was wide awake before we headed down to the pool. By the time we got there, this is what Eme looked like!
Soon after we laid her down, she woke up. This is the only reason Brady made it up to Snowbird!~ to take Eme swimmin! Oh man, got to love those Wolfgramm cheeks/round face she got from her mama!
Such a big girl. She just sat up on the couch and watched everyone do their thing!
This was my dream come true...sleeping in till 9!

As many of you know, my family goes up to Snowbird and stays in the Cliff Lodge every year. We love going on vacation so close to home, yet so far away. Sweet Eme LOVES being outside, so I was excited to see how well she did up in the mountains. Well, just as I expected, she was an angel! She even let us sleep in one night until 9!!! Woohoo!
Anyway, anyone who knows my family well, knows that when we vacation, we really vacation. We plan absolutely nothing, and just play it by ear. As a matter of fact, that is how I live my life! lol (my poor husband Brady) We had a great time doing whatever we wanted while we were there. Thanks mom and dad for keeping the timeshare at Snowbird...it's one of our favorites! We hope that you lame Kentucky people come back and join us next year!
