This Sunday after having dinner at my moms, we were in the living room having our normal Sunday afternoon chats. We were reminissing on the past, and all the crazy things we did back in the day. Laughing our heads off as usual, I was inclined to pull out the photo albums to find a pic of me as a baby. As I was going through the books, I came across this picture and couldn't help but think that Tina looked like this cute little girl I know. Her name is Ellie Jo Johnson. Ellie does have darker hair and eyes, but I do think Tina makes a closer match to Ellie than does her biological mother, Raegan. Just thought I would post this picture for those of you who know the two of them. What do you think??Sunday, March 30, 2008
Ellie...I mean Tina!

GIRL or BOY...

Which one will it be?? I decided I better take a poll this week to see what everyone thinks this baby is going to be. I finally hit the 36week mark on Thursday, and no longer have to stop my labor when it comes! So, we are just curious to know what everyone's feelings were on the sex of our baby. Good luck, your guess is as good as ours!!

Bye Bye Ford Festiva....Hello Suzuki Samurai!!
As many of you know, Brady has had this Festiva for many, many years. Well, just this weekend, he decided to trade it straight across for a running Suzuki Samurai from a buddy at work!
This here is the beauty!! It is an '87, 4wd, 5 speed!! It only has 122K miles and runs like a champ! If you have been looking for somthing like this for yourself, you may contact Brady direct. Don't let this one get away!!34 weeks.....or 36???
THAT, is the question. Since I have nothing going on other than being pregnant, I shall write about it again! So this last Tuesday when I was seeing my midwife, a couple of things had changed. I was not excited to get weighed this time since I was on bed rest all last week. Well, turns out it was good news for me. I some how lost 6lbs!! I had thought all last week that somthing might be different because I felt like my stomach was getting smaller somehow. So when my midwife came in to measure me, she noticed a difference as well. I was no longer measureing ahead! In fact, I was measuring at 33weeks, which is a week behind. This baby must have moved positions and changed everything! My midwife decided to order another ultrasound to see what that would tell us about the baby. I had my ultra sound today and got nothing but good news. By the measurements of the baby, we just might have it here sooner than we think. The lady that did the ultrasound said that the baby is measuring in the 80%, about 36weeks, and the due date could be as early as April 5th!! WAHOO!! Not to get my hopes up, but I am also going to call my midwife tomorrow and see if I am elidgible to go back to work starting Monday!! Things couldn't sound better right now! I guess things are going to pay off after that streak of bad luck... (hopefully I didn't jinx it).

.....make that four!
So, as many of you have probably heard, we have been continuing our run of bad luck. I have spent a couple of days in St. Mark's having my contractions monitored. Tuesday I went for the regular check up and was asking questions about "braxton-hicks" contractions when my Dr. got the feeling I was not having just "braxton -hicks" contractions, but regular contractions. She checked me and I was dialated to 1.5 and effaced 50%! She sent me right away to labor and delivery since I am only 33 weeks along. They gave me some terbutaline and sent me home that night. The next morning I woke up with contractions again at 5:30am. By 10:30am they were only 4-6 minutes apart so I went back in. Again, they gave me some terbutaline and another steroid shot and 5 hours later I got to go home. Since I have been home I have not had another contraction!!! It's starting to look up!! My poor baby!!!!
Confession:
I do believe I brought this all on myself. Monday I was at work being the "she woman" I think I can still be. I was running another emergency food pantry by myself and decided I could unload the meat truck. Then thought that I could put all three pallets away before the other lady made it back in the next morning. So, I was lifting boxes of meat and crates of milk etc. around the pantry putting them away. Then, I went straight to the after school program I am in charge of and taught Tahitian dancing for and hour and a half. After the class I had to have a costume meeting before I went home around 6. Looking back, I think I forgot to eat after breakfast!! I guess that would send any 33wk pregnant chick into contractions. Then, Tuesday we got in another truck at my regular pantry, and I was still feeling like I could help unload some "heavier" stuff as long as I took breaks in the middle. Boy was I wrong. I feel so bad that this poor baby of mine was trying to vacate my crazy body!! It had no idea what I was doing other than abusing the right to be a pregnant lady!! LOL. However, I have learned my lesson from this bedrest crap and WILL NOT unload any more trucks or lift things heavier then 20lbs!!! Too much of this "bedrest" order and I might not make it to the end of my pregnancy.

Bad things come in threes!!
Well, Brady and I have had our share of bad luck this year! First thing happened when Brady accidently bounced a nice maroon car off of his front bumper in January. Brady has had such a clean record since I have known him, I was quite surprised when he told me he got in an accident.
Then, when we went through our final inspection on our home we were about to purchase, and found more wrong than we expected. We decided that if they weren't willing to put atleast $30K towards bringing the house to code, we weren't going to get it. And, as you might have guessed... we didn't end up getting the house. (I have currently boycotted house hunting for now, as I am sick of seeing the same crap day after day!)
And just last Saturday night/Sunday morning, our little Honda got ripped off from the drive way!!!Sunday morning we were getting ready for church when Ann yelled down the stairs to see where Brady was. I said he was right here, and then she said... "Well, where's your car?" Shocked at what she said... I asked,"Which car?" She said, "the white one." So in no time flat, Brady went flying up the stairs, only to find out that his car was gone!! So we called and reported it to the WJ police and went to church. Around 5pm we got a call from the police saying that they found the car and it was only a couple of blocks away from the house. They said it looked like it was in running condition and to come and get it. Brady and Kent ended up having to tow it home, but once they got it home Brady was able to mess with it and get it running.
We aren't really sure what they wanted with our car since they didn't put any miles on it, wreck it, or take it "4-wheelin". The only thing they did to it was break the steering wheel column, take the papers out of the glove box, and steel the 8 packs of diapers and wipes I had for baby in the trunk! POINTLESS!!
Needless to say, after all this bad luck, we are sitting back and waiting for a blessing to come our way! :) Hey... it could happen!
